Hey guys great tournament,, good Ole lake Erie Duane Cleveland Ohio,,,70424fishing central lake Erie basin excellent fishing
Yup yup yup
Great idea to have the co-angler point of view. It's nice to see some "regular" guys' experiences. Do it again with 4 different points of view.
Great job fellas
Great stuff Brian!
Love the content good luck at Green Bay!
Brian, Great podcast! Where do you guide?
Awesome content! Thanks
My pick for this one is Sprengal on an old fashioned crawler harness and board bite .
This is one of the greatest, most insightful, and honest podcast I have heard in regard to entering into the fishing industry. Thank you very much for sharing your advice for entering the NWT as a co-angler, I have been really interested in doing it but was always worried about not having the right gear or knowledge to help the Pro.
One of my favorite bites. It's got to be tough with the current limit gotta have 19 " and a good kicker to win. Did you know that the local biologist didn't think there was sufficient evidence to change the limit. But it was changed anyway because of public opinion
Great watching you in red wing tournament, where did you enter the water in red wing? I have a canoe I’d like to hit the back waters. That’s seems the safest.
Tournament went out of treasure island casino
Nelson's bottoms is a large backwater area at the bottom of the lake
@@johnmiller5987 great , I’ll see if I can find it. Appreciate your help
Actually every pool has great fishing and backwaters. Find the closest to you and learn it. Although the drifters is beautiful
Subscribed..... Just wanted to say that the audio definitely needs upgraded. ✌️
What casino? Can't think of one off 3 or 4 haha
We had a team weight 46+lbs six fish limit only 2 fish at or over 24” in the first tournament this year on the crwaa circuit
Each time you pulled up to that point in pepin casting I ended up getting my overs. 😂
Lol.. I saw u catchem. There were some good fish there
Thanks for the video, I would like to hear the Co Anglers perspective too. Would you be willing to do a podcast walking a new co angler from finding the website to sign up, to getting in the boat with a Pro? All of the in' and out's. I am 60 years old, fished walleye since I can remember and this is a bucket list thing to do. But how? Thanks Brian, I always enjoy your videos and pod cast.
Thanks for the video Brian! I enjoy your videos and podcast. Keep crushing the walleye!
❤
Nailed the winning weight
It was great to hear all the insight that John had. As a follower of the NWT, I would love to see it go to a format where all anglers sign on for the entire season, however many that may be. Even with how the tour is set up now a limit on practice days would be interesting to see. Thank you for the wonderful content, I look forward to these each week.
Great episode i watched a John Balla podcast a while back and my eyes popped outa my head and it changed my tournament approach . I get the not wanting locals in to snag a few checks but thats what makes the tour great Regular Joes like me can Dream of some day being the absolute best at something even if only for a day. because lets be honest the best way i ever heard it described was today as being a professional hobby.. My pick to win this 1 is Tom all i do is win win huynh!! thanks JB DH an BBfor the entertainment., 👍
Hey man how long are your leaders? Precesion trolling says 15ft but have had a lot of old heads say 6ft. I’m running 18lb LC with either 10lb mono or Braid fire line. Thanks!
Im run mine 10-12’ on my 12’ rods and 5-7’ on my 5’ rods. Ldr as long as the rod is my rule.
Ethenol Free Gas is 4.85 a Gallon here 🥺
the gps trolling motor is where its at!! hands free trolling
Where does the FFS stop?.. Extremely concerned for our sport
Great episode and Guest with excellent insight. Look forward to the next one !
good stuff every week!!
Gary Allen would be good
FFS is not going anywhere there won’t be restrictions, Your fishing The top Circuit Not local events .. Guys crying about it will be left in the dust. If you fish a wing-dam not much changes other then leaving if you see no fish same as a-lot of areas why people think scoping fish is so much different makes me confused!!
I don't think it's going anywhere or at least not in the near future. Not many are crying about on circuit as most realize it's the game we sign up to play. If scoping fish wasn't different it wouldn't be such a controversial issue, so not sure what you mean.
I mean it’s not much different in the sense that you pull up on an area to fish or search because of the knowledge you have as a skilled angler you still need to know where to point it and catch the fish there by casting. Seems like the big debate is trolling vs casting and we never seen many or any walleye tournaments won casting except when keith did it without live imaging but i still think many walleye tournaments are won trolling. Some guys will figure out how to troll better with live scope , And this keeps the fields spread out . Keep fishing your strengths is my advice to anyone. And very good call on Garmin Live scope every one else is playing catch up ,
@@FishingNorthernOntarioCanada got it, did you know that out of the last 24 NWT tournaments, only 8 were won trolling? and only 2 of those were in the past two years. Trolling has it's place no doubt and it can put a lot of fish in the boat.
@@TheWalleyeGuysThats a surprising fact. Thanks for the pod cast i look forward to them and the hot topic debates thats come with tournament fishing! Getem on the next one id leave the trolling rods in the truck never ever at Home .. peace ✌️
Hunter Nitti - no wife and no kids = hunting and fishing! 🤠
Yes! I have fished spoons on Francis Case and Oahe for 40 years now! I have used slow death hooks with gulp worms and grubs but never minnow baits! Love your channel
Could you do a short video on how you put Streakz on a slow death hooks! Please
You referring to the Zman StreakZ? I could do that.
Thanks for the video. Great work! Too bad Day 2 was what it was☹
Port side should be red
are you the professional?
Doesn't take a professional to figure out port= red starboard = green hmm
Very interesting takes on Walleye Tournament Fishing. My opinion may differ from theirs, but we all share the passion of walleye fishing. As much as i have enjoyed many co-anglers over the years, I think it is the co-angler that is holding back the professional side of walleye tournaments. It should be mano y mano. No teams, no cos, one on one on one. The walleye tournament game has been the same for over 35 years. It has to change to grow.
Thanks for taking the time - always worth the watch 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Why the green flags on port side?
So I know which side they go on easily.
Forward Facing Sonar. Question is Fair chase? Some states have outlawed trail cams, drones, for hunting. Almost radios for stocking. 10lbs walleyes 180-200 class Deer 380-390 ELK, What's the difference. Very cool tech. Is it fair to the bigger fish. You can see Bass guys and Walleye guys targeting the bigger fish in tournaments. Average guy fishing is looking for schools for eaters. Will it change the population I really don't think so. But just like hunting where does tech draw a line. Musky and Paddle fish no more thousand cast fish drive around until you find one, then target that specific fish. Its cuts lot of learning curve for sure. Fish on.
Thanks Joe great info good luck this season !! love the content you been putting out keep it coming!! You cant mess with camera gear for even a 2nd during a tournament set multiple go pros on external batteries with large sd card N let them run best way chests cams… Hit record and dont stop them all day , Another Tip don’t pull out micro sd cards ever put them in N leave them forever.
What is the best leadcore line to use?
18-lb-27lb really any brand will work.
Great interview. Both you and Joe have great informative content. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I fished here today, vertical jig is where it's at rn
No time for the Element i of surprise and BRIAN put that live scope on a pole or if you can have both. Very Entertaining Nick grow that huge Beard back from H2h when you dominated on Detroit river ! great share !
Johnnie stand up professional as always.
Great Guest ! now that was reel talk with no limits ! A true pro I watched Johnny on H2h it wad a treat ! He is 💯 right as a lone wolf 🐺 i look at NwTs to cherry pick and have to consider can i beat these 4 guys with 7 days pre fish x 4 = 28 days to my 5 days alone ! Limit the days and eliminate teams! Thanks Brian for the Entertainment! Erie soon my guess is A Canadian wins with FFS !! 🤐🤐
Candadian waters are off limits. But not Canadians 😂
Good stuff! Hope to see you on Devils Lake next year sir or back at VDL in Minnesota... great info
Have a marine guy in central iowa that a hell of a boat man works right out of his garage....rigging and motor work....
How to figure the drop when fishing over trees with bottom bouncers? get first snag then real up? LOL
Thats one way. I like to hold the rod in hand and then drop until i feel it or if you have live scope you can see it. I just drop until i feel the first limb then reel up a bit. Some times you can see it on 2D and use a line counter so you can mimic it again.
I use Silver Streak Jr and Silver Streak Mini spoons a lot for walleye on Francis Case. When you use 20lb line to the spoon will that reduce the effects of the spoon? I use 10lb to the spoon but will admit I lose to many spoons 😩
I’ve Followed NWT since inception real close to.. Kents win and his Brother 2nd was 1 of best stories in Walleye/tournament fishing ever . Good luck next season..
Great job. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks 1:18:29
Thanks Tor
